Combining psychedelics with peakstates?

I'm thinking since I've tried both. that perhaps taking or receiving a treatment like The Silent Mind, or whatever process, while having taking psychedelics, could that be beneficial to like strive to get the "beauty way" state of mind? Like working on the mind with the music, and having taken ayahuasca and mushrooms?

  • Hello Troels,
We generally discourage using psychedelics, as stated in "subcellular psychobiology" as it is not devoid of dangers. Specifically, triggering traumas, spiritual emergencies, or developmental events, or other things that we do not know how to heal. So, no therapist would agree to supervise such work.
Now, of course that's up to you. But why would you think it would help with, say, the Silent Mind process ?

The Silent Mind process has a great track record of working with our current healing techniques. Taking psychedelics, in my opinion, would only derail it, as it annihilates focus and take you on its own trip instead. So, that's counterproductive. And the Silent Mind's process or musics have nothing to do with the Beauty Way state.

About the Beauty Way state, we are working in research on a safe and effective way to get that state of course, as it is paramount to our goal.

Psychedelics are not part of our method. Knowing how much we struggle against the roadblocks to Beauty Way, I'd say trying to use psychedelics to take a shortcut would be the most extremely reckless idea one could have (as the severity of traumas and other blocks it extreme - not to mention, potentially life-threatening).

I hear you Gaetan, I love peakstates and its methods, and with me I'm willing to try anything to get a better state of mind. What I am saying is when I did the mushrooms, I felt that the sensation of being abandonent left me, I felt way more confident, afterwards while I was on the trip, I got really intense emotions like suicidial for I guess 20 minutes, and it was painful but once it was over, I felt a deep bliss in my soul, really good about myself. The reason I brought was how beneficial it was to me, the only thing I wish I had done differently, was not be accompanied by some supervisor because of how intense and painful it got. Also in the book whole-hearted healing, she mentions that when fixing traumas, you can get suicidal, so there is also a risk by simply diving into those core traumas as well
  • Yes, there is always a risk, whatever the method used, so yes, having a supervisor is a really good idea.
