Support for our Students and Graduates
November 27, 2008
After a professional training is over, the Institute continues to offer support in a variety of ways. We do this to help students master what they've been taught in the training, and to help the therapists prepare for certification in our techniques. Over the years, we've found that this is necessary for several reasons: the material taught is completely new and unfamiliar; the processes and techniques take time to practice and integrate; and learning is supported by being involved with a community of like-minded people who are also working to master the material.
Below is the contact information for the staff person who students and certified therapists can contact for support problems or questions. After a training, our student support staff person is their primary contact person. If the student decided to continue on to certification, they can question/schedule with our certified therapist support coordinator. Once a therapist is certified, they have mentors assigned to them for the first year: this gives them monthly coaching, and and a supportive group setting for questions about client issues. They also have advanced therapist backup for their clients; our clinic director arranges their primary backup person, and makes sure that there is staff on-hand for emergencies. Our specialization courses also have mentors: Ian Waugh (Australia) does post-training mentoring for the addiction specialization.
This section of the website is maintained to keep our graduates informed about changes in our manuals, our processes, and the availability of new information; as well as keep people up-to-date on our 'question and answer' or training teleclasses. We also place new material on access-restricted webpages specifically for certified therapists who are licensed to use our techniques.

Phone Support TeleClasses for Students and Graduates
Telephone classes for students who have already taken our Basic Peak States Therapist training are now available. Because this field is changing so rapidly, these short classes are designed for our students who want to keep up to date on new or updated peak states processes, or hear lectures useful for ISPS certification. Click here for costs, how to prepare, available teleclasses, and other relevant information. Contact
to sign up.
Times: If you are unsure about your time zone, you may find the following website useful: www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/full.html.
TeleClass: Question & Answer Sessions. Ongoing classes.
This will be an ongoing teleclass, and is mainly Q&A, to help students who are preparing for certification. Staff members will answer questions about problems students came across while doing their 'dirt time', with clarification of the workshop material as requested. There may be a lecture from time to time, if we sense from the questions that there is a topic that needs a more thorough address. In such a case, we will publish the lecture's topic ahead of time on the WHH list, for people who would like to listen to it. Archived copies of the lectures are available to certified therapists on the certified therapist's webpage.
Samsara Salier in Australia is available for question and answers (Q&A) for all Basic and Certified graduates. You can call email her at
.
For an up to the minute TeleClass schedule, go to the TeleClass support calendar webpage. You can also subscribe to this Google calendar (Mac or PC) by simply clicking on the 'subscribe' button on the left side of the calendar. This feature gives you immediate updates straight to your computer, and also automatically adjusts the schedules to your time zone.
Support Seminars for students
Spiritual Emergency for Peak States students
People doing meditation or deep therapeutic processes might all of a sudden find themselves in a Spiritual Emergency. This excessive energetical opening can look like a psychosis or other mental illnesses. It is therefore a part of becoming a Peak States therapist to know about Spiritual Emergencies. This workshop is meant to be a help to have the issue become more alive and understandable by inviting several people to teach.Dr. Grant McFetridge being a specialist on the subject will be with us several hours on Skype. Advanced therapist Nemi Nath will tell about her own experience with Spiritual Emergency. Psychiatrist Berit Barnett will tell about the difference between Spiritual Emergency and mental illness.
It is very much advised to read the books Spiritual Emergency by Stanislav Groff and Helping people with Spiritual Emergency by Emma Bragdon before the workshop. Also read Grants article on the website http://www.peakstates.com/emergency.html.
This workshop is not a substitute for the test put up by ISPS to become a certified therapist. Berit Barnett (Denmark) is a teacher for this class.
No workshop is presently scheduled.
There is no teleclass support at this time.
